The beam angle describes how light is emitted from a specific light fixture. Measured in degrees, it indicates how narrow or wide the light beam is from a source. A narrower beam creates focused lighting, while a wider beam angle spreads light over a larger area.
In technical terms, it is the angle between the two directions on either side of the central axis of the beam where the light’s intensity is 50% of its peak.
