Oslo PENTHOUSE
INSPIRED BY NORWEGIAN FJORDS AND NATURAL LIGHT FLOW
For this exclusive residential project in Oslo, Addlux partnered with interior design studio VULA Interior Design to develop a custom luminaire solution inspired by the natural contours and light dynamics of the Norwegian fjords.
The project was featured in Olise Magazine, highlighting its innovative approach to sculptural lighting design and circadian-inspired illumination.
The Oslo Penthouse project required a lighting solution that could integrate seamlessly into a highly architectural residential interior while reinforcing the design narrative inspired by natural landscape geometry.
Addlux was commissioned to supply flexible LED light sheet technology for a bespoke multi-sided luminaire system designed to echo the organic form of a raised living platform shaped by fjord-like contours.
The Design Concept
The lighting concept was driven by three core principles:
- Reflection of natural Norwegian fjord geometry
- Continuous, flowing illumination across architectural surfaces
- Circadian-inspired lighting transitions throughout the living space
The goal was to create a lighting installation that behaved as an architectural element rather than a conventional luminaire.

The Lighting Effect
The finished installation creates a continous flow of light that follows the geometry of the interior architecture, guiding movement through the space while subtly shifting the atmosphere throughout the day.
The result is a sculptural lighting system that blends seamlessly with the interior design, enhancing both spatial perception and emotional comfort.
